Good Moral Character

Applicants for initial licensure by examination by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (MA BORN) must comply with the "good moral character" (GMC) requirement specified at Massachuestts General Laws Chapter 112, sections 74, 74A, and 76.  The MA BORN requires all applicants to answer specific questions related to criminal convictions or disciplinary actions when applying for nurse licensure to ensure the conduct of each applicant to whom it grants a license does not pose an unacceptable risk to the public health, safety, and welfare.

Individuals who are not eligible for licensure in accordance with the MA BORN GMC Licensure Requirement cannot be accepted to the UCT PN Program until such time as they would be eligible for licensure upon successfully completing the PN Program.
