Full-Time Option
Full-time option classes and clinical experiences are generally scheduled 5 days per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.* The program runs over 10 months/40 weeks, beginning in late August or early September through June.
Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 2:10 p.m. Students are encouraged to arrive at 7 a.m. and remain until 3 p.m. so that they can participate in academic assistance groups with the course faculty.
*Class and clinical times vary with the types of experiences, the course, and the day of the week. More specific schedules will be available when classes begin. Clinical sites are located in many communities on and off Cape Cod, including, but not limited to: Brewster, Chatham, Falmouth, Hyannis, Mashpee, Middleboro, New Bedford, Sandwich, and Plymouth. Students are responsible for their own transportation.
Classes are scheduled in accordance with the academic calendar of UCT. Practical Nursing students will have the same holidays and vacation breaks as UCT, which are similar to the area public schools.
Classes are held in the Nursing and Allied Health Education Center, located on the campus of UCT. The Center opened in 2013 and provides 10,000 square feet of space for program activities. There are 2 classrooms that seat 30 students each, 2 nursing skills labs, a simulation lab, a conference room, and faculty offices. The classrooms and conference room are equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
